Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scrappy Startups ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scrappy Startups is a public leaderboard that allows indie founders to list their products, optionally verify revenue data via Stripe, and share updates with the community. The Service also offers sponsored placements for businesses who wish to reach our audience.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to submit a product or post updates. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Content and Listings

By submitting a product listing, you represent that:

• You are the founder or authorized representative of the product
• All information provided is accurate and not misleading
• Revenue figures you self-report are truthful to the best of your knowledge
• Your product does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or edit any listing at our sole discretion without notice.

5. Stripe Integration

When you connect a Stripe restricted key to verify revenue, you grant us read-only access to your Stripe account data for the purposes of calculating and displaying revenue figures. We will never charge your Stripe account or access data beyond what is necessary for revenue verification. You may revoke access at any time by deleting the API key from your Stripe dashboard.

6. Sponsorships

Sponsorships are sold on a 30-day basis for a flat fee of $99. Payment is processed before your ad goes live. Sponsorships are non-refundable once the campaign has started. We reserve the right to reject any sponsor application that does not meet our content standards. Sponsor content must be accurate and not deceptive.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent revenue data
• Attempt to manipulate upvotes or rankings through automated means
• Scrape or bulk-download data from the Service without permission
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or any illegal purpose
• Submit listings for gambling, adult content, crypto/NFT speculation, or MLM schemes

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Scrappy Startups a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content in connection with the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Revenue figures displayed on the platform may be self-reported and unverified. Scrappy Startups makes no representations about the accuracy of any product information or revenue data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrappy Startups shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or goodwill.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any paid fees.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
